That tiny little bit of cuteness under the car tire is the kitten I found at the Bergen stop this morning. Long story short, a girl named Adrian found me in a small panic, trying to coerce this little cutie out from under the car.
She stopped, asked me not to judge as she pulled out a pillowcase from her purse. We went to work quickly together, us two girls on a mission. I ran for a can of cat food and she pulled a fork out of her magic purse. I still wasn’t judging and together we caught the kitten.
She was running late for an appointment and asked if it was okay with me if she took the kitten in the pillowcase with her and then later to the vet to get her shots. She also asked me if it was okay if she named her Bergen.
All of this was not only okay, it was that positively delightful kind of tear-welling news you don’t get every day. When I first saw the cat, I logically asked myself, “Why are you doing this, when you know it’s not going to end well?”
So happy it did after all.
